What is glasser? (violins)?

What exactly is Glasser? in most Violin Outfits i see, it says the bow is made of glasser. anyone know what it is?

Glasser is a brand name, the people who designed a product line of bows. The bows range from very inexpensive (yet good) student bows at around $35 to very nice, silver mounted braided carbon fiber bows at $612.
